Muhammad Aslam Tanks & Barrels Maintenance supplies and reconditions industrial packaging from a yard in Al Sajaa Industrial Area, Sharjah. We hold steel drums, HDPE plastic drums and 1000-litre IBC tanks in both new and reconditioned condition, and we recondition containers that customers already own.

Most of our work falls into two halves. The first is supply: buyers who need drums or IBC tanks in a specific size, head type and condition, delivered to a site anywhere in the UAE. The second is reuse: companies that generate empty containers and want them collected, washed and either returned or replaced. Handling steel, HDPE and IBC on one site means a mixed load is one collection and one delivery rather than three.

How Reconditioning Works

What happens between collecting a used drum and delivering it back.

Clean & Prepare

Interior and exterior washing, drying and surface preparation. Steel drums are shot blasted or washed depending on the previous contents; HDPE drums are hot washed.

Inspect & Test

Visual inspection for dents, corrosion and thread damage, then a leak test. Bungs, gaskets, lids and clamp rings are replaced where they will not seal.

Paint, Schedule & Deliver

Steel drums are repainted where required, then palletised and dispatched to your site on an agreed date anywhere in the UAE.

Steel Drums

Mild steel drums for solvents, lubricants, paints, fuels and hazardous goods, supplied new or reconditioned. Reconditioned drums are washed, leak-tested and repainted before dispatch, and cost less than new stock for the same duty.

Plastic Drums (HDPE)

HDPE drums from 30 to 220 litres for chemicals, detergents, water and food concentrates. HDPE does not corrode, which makes it the usual choice for acids, alkalis and anything that would attack a steel wall. Available new or reconditioned.

IBC Tanks — 1000L

1000-litre intermediate bulk containers: an HDPE bottle in a galvanised steel cage on a pallet base, with a discharge valve at the bottom. One IBC replaces roughly five 200-litre drums, and it stacks, so it is the cheaper way to move bulk liquid where a forklift is available.

Plastic Drum Reconditioning

HDPE drums from 30 to 220 litres are hot washed, rinsed and dried, then checked for stress cracking, thread damage and residual odour. Lids, gaskets and caps are replaced as needed so the drum seals as it should.

Covers: HDPE barrels, open top and L-ring drums.

IBC Tank Reconditioning & Rebottling

IBC tanks are washed and pressure-checked. Where the bottle is damaged or has carried something that cannot be washed out, we rebottle: a new HDPE bottle into the existing cage and pallet, which costs less than a new IBC. Cages and valves repaired or replaced.

What is the difference between a new and a reconditioned drum?

A reconditioned drum is a used drum that has been washed inside and out, inspected, leak-tested and — for steel — repainted, with bungs, gaskets and clamp rings replaced where needed. It costs less than new and, for most industrial duties, does the same job. New stock is the right choice where the contents or the customer require it.

Do you buy empty drums and IBC tanks?

Yes. If empty steel drums, plastic drums or IBC tanks are accumulating on your site, send a photograph and a rough count on WhatsApp and we will quote for collection.

Can you clean our own drums and return them?

Yes — that is our washing and reconditioning service. We collect from your site, wash and dry the containers, replace closures that no longer seal, and return them ready to refill on an agreed schedule.

What is rebottling an IBC tank?

Rebottling puts a new HDPE bottle into the existing steel cage and pallet base. It is used when the bottle is damaged or has carried something that cannot be washed out, and it costs less than buying a complete new IBC.

Steel drums or plastic drums — which do I need?

Steel suits solvents, lubricants, paints and fuels, and is the stronger container for stacking and rough handling. HDPE suits acids, alkalis, detergents, water and food concentrates, because it does not corrode. If the contents would attack a steel wall, use HDPE.
